    Overview:

    Silene caroliniana or Short and Sweet is a small perennial featuring bright pink 5 petaled flowers on delicate stems. Short and Sweet is great for groundcover and blooms in late spring to early summer. Flowers can last up to 8 weeks and grows 6-8 inches. It is attractive to pollinators and tolerate wet and dry seasons.

     

    Care:

    Plant in average, well-drained soils in full sun or partial shade. Short and Sweet can tolerate full shade, but will produce less blooms. Avoid moist areas for extended periods. This plant is compact and can be easily grown in containers.
