Obedient Plant 'Pink Manners' (Physostegia virginiana)

Overview:
Physostegia virginiana or Obedient Plant 'Pink Manners' features lavender-pink flowers in a snapdragon or clustered spike arrangement with green foliage. This plant blooms in the late summer and early fall (July-September), and grows up to 3' tall. It is attractive to pollinators, and tolerant to clay and salt.
 
Care:
Plant in average to moist soils in full sun. This plant works well in sunny rain gardens. Avoid rich soils as the plant may lodge. Its strong stems do not require staking.
