Overview: Coneflower 'Green Twister', echinacea purpurea, is a hardy perennial known for its unique green and pink petals that surround its cone. Flowers bloom from mid-summer through fall and stands about 2-3’ tall. Resistant to drought, disease, and deer. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and insects like beetles and hoverflies are attracted to the plant’s nectar. In the fall and winter, the seeds provide food for finches and chickadees.

Care: Green Twister Coneflower prefers full sun for optimal flowering. It can tolerate a range of soil conditions but prefers well-drained soil with lots of organic matter. While established coneflowers are drought-tolerant, more regular watering during the first growing season can help the plant establish a deeper and stronger root system. Can be propagated through seed or dividing roots.
