In just a few centuries, we humans have largely lost our innate connection with nature that we relied upon for millions of years. This disconnection has produced a host of global environmental issues including mass habitat destruction, species extinction and climate change. It is also at the root of many social issues including poverty, hunger, and violence that plague many of our urban neighborhoods.
The heart of LandHealth is providing engaging, interdisciplinary education about land and all its layers– both the natural and man-made. A common thread weaves our varied collection of environmental education programs together: they all aim to stimulate awareness of the countless wonders of the land around us.
