Volunteer Grant Writer

Land Health Institute is looking for a highly-motivated, articulate professional to assist with fundraising efforts including prospect research and grant writing. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with prior fundraising experience and demonstrated success in writing winning grant proposals. Additionally, experience with nonprofit organizations, project management, or grant-writing is a plus. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative emerging environmental nonprofit organization and connect our work with the greater philanthropic community. Marketing, Communications and Outreach Intern

10-15 hours a week, available immediately

LandHealth Institute (LHI) is seeking a Marketing and Communications intern to broaden public awareness of our mission and work. This individual will work towards growing our membership base, increasing participation in our educational programs and expanding awareness of our projects, ultimately increasing LHI’s impact. Using both digital and print media, the marketing intern will work with LHI staff and volunteers to find creative ways to express our brand and mission throughout all of our marketing materials. Competitive candidates will understand and support LHI’s mission, be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, be computer literate and possess social media savvy, and be able to manage their time effectively and work independently in a relatively unstructured environment.

LandHealth Institute Board of Directors

LandHealth Institute is now accepting applications for candidates for positions on our Board of Directors. Join a team of dedicated individuals who believe in the power of nature to transform our cities and our lives. While we’re interested in hearing from all interested candidates, we’re particularly interested in recruiting individuals with the following skills and expertise:

  • Prior non-profit board experience with a track record of success in fundraising and cultivating donations, and/or experience on a nonprofit nominating committee
  • Experience planning and promoting public events and educational programs
  • Marketing and graphic design expertise, particularly in the nonprofit sector
  • Accounting/non-profit finance background or prior experience on a finance committee
